A taste test with pluck: KFC gives away free grilled chicken today

With the world's medical fears temporarily shifted from avian flu to swine flu, KFC has decided that today would be the perfect time to go viral on its own. It's going the whole hog to promote its latest new product: Kentucky Grilled Chicken. Today, April 27, it's giving away free chicken to all comers at its 5,100 American stores.You don't need a coupon. Just go into a KFC and tell them you want a piece of grilled chicken (70 to 80 calories, 4 to 9 grams of fat). You get one per person, but you don't get to choose which body part, although the manager may take pity on you if you're a confirmed drumsticker. If you want a traditionally fried artery-clogger, though (110 to 370 calories, 7 to 21 grams of fat), you'll have to pay.

I have ALWAYS loved KFC'S FRIED CHICKEN, both original and extra crispy. I stopped once at a KFC in NM years ago and they served a nice brown CRISPY "original". That was BEFORE the extra crispy came out. THAT WAS THE VERY BEST CHICKEN I HAVE EVER HAD. The only problem I have with KFC is their "sides". The coleslaw and biscuits are good, and the choclate cake is good. BUT NOTHING ELSE IS WORTH BUYING. I have always ordered the slaw and biscuits and made anything else we wanted AT HOME, or got something "extra" at another restaurant. IF KFC WOULD DO AN OVERHAUL ON THEIR SIDES, THEY WOULD DEFINITELY HAVE A LOT MORE BUSINESS.

KFC CHOPS THE BEAKS OFF THEIR CHICKENS so they can squeeze more into their tight pens. this way they won't accidently peck each other. NOW they have pain and disease and bleeding. THEY POOP & EAT & SLEEP iN ONE SPOT. then, when they are FINALLY ARE ALLOWED TO DIE after such a horrendous lifetime, THEY CHOP THEM UP ALIVE.
ANYONE WHO BUYS CHICKEN FROM KFC or any other chicken company that are not humane (most are except for the ones who let their chickens range (move around) free a bit - free range - should be tortured yourselves.
NOTE: YOu aren't just eating the chicken. You are eating their ppoop, their infections, their hormone and antibiotic shots and their fake, chemical-pumped food feed.

Karen, so you are saying just because they are animals and not humans it is ok for them to be abused? NOT ONE OF GOD'S CREATURES, BE THEY ANIMAL OR HUMAN SHOULD BE ABUSED!!!!!
